A happy character ? Sad ? Worried ?<\/p>\n

In this tutorial, I teach you to draw the main characteristics of the different expressions of the face of a character.<\/strong><\/p>\n

First, look at the drawing, where I have represented several facial expressions. Then, read the explanations.<\/p>\n

Happiness<\/h2>\n

To express happiness<\/strong> on the face of a character, the edge of the mouth goes up very slightly<\/strong>. Concerning the eyes<\/strong>, they are round<\/strong> or open<\/strong> and the eyebrows<\/strong> are gathered together.<\/p>\n

In order to draw a character who is laughing<\/strong>, his mouth<\/strong> must be open.<\/strong> You can add small strokes<\/strong> around his head<\/strong>. We can very often notice that they have rather round eyes<\/strong> too.<\/p>\n

Tip<\/strong>: When the eyes<\/strong> are drawn closed<\/strong>, the character<\/strong> looks very kind<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anger<\/h2>\n

When a character is angry<\/strong>, we notice that the edge of its mouth goes slightly down<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In addition, the eyebrows<\/strong> are shirred<\/strong> and very marked<\/strong>. As for the look, the artist reinforces it by thickening its lines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fury<\/h2>\n

The opening of the mouth<\/strong> makes it possible to distinguish a character who screams<\/strong> of another who shouts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sadness<\/h3>\n

There are many ways to express sadness<\/strong> on a character\u2019s face. The lines of the eyes are drawn downwards<\/strong>, as well as those of the mouth<\/strong>. Eyebrows<\/strong> can also accentuate sadness if they lower<\/strong>. If the distance between the two eyes<\/strong> is reduced, the character will appear less happy too.<\/p>\n

Tears<\/h2>\n

In addition to tears at the edge of the eyes or that run down the face, drops<\/strong> can be added around the head to strengthen expression<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The anxiety<\/h2>\n

The eyes narrow<\/strong>, the corners of the mouth subside<\/strong> and the features of the eyebrows<\/strong> are perfectly horizontal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
