Osiris is one of the major gods of Egyptian mythology, symbolizing resurrection, fertility and the reign of the dead. Often depicted in mummified form with the crown of Osiris and holding the scepter and flail, he is the son of Geb and Nut and the brother of Isis, Set and Nephthys.
Osiris is best known for his role in the myth of his death and resurrection: murdered by his brother Set, he is brought back to life by Isis, becoming the god of the underworld and a judge of souls.
