Belgium: Brussels Atomium

This drawing takes you to the heart of this unique structure, a true symbol of the 1958 Universal Exhibition.

The Atomium is an enlarged representation of an iron crystal, composed of nine spheres linked by tubes.

This incredible monument was designed by engineer André Waterkeyn and architects André and Jean Polak. Today, it houses exhibitions and offers a splendid panoramic view of the city of Brussels.

The Atomium is 102 metres high, making it one of the most impressive buildings in Brussels.
