Sumikko Gurashi, created in 2012 by Yuri Yokomizo for San-X, is a collection of fictional characters inspired by the comfort of quiet corners. Among the main ones are Shirokuma (a chilly polar bear), Penguin (unsure if he's a penguin), Tonkatsu (leftover breaded pork), Neko (an anxious cat) and Tokage (a dinosaur posing as a lizard). The franchise offers a wide range of merchandise, including books, video games and three animated films to be released in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
