Art Nouveau or Jugendstil is an international philosophy and style of art, architecture and applied art – especially the decorative arts – that was most popular during 1890–1910.English uses the French name Art Nouveau ("new art"), but the style has many different names in other countries.A reaction to academic art of the 19th century, it was inspired by natural forms and structures, not only in flowers and plants, but also in curved lines.

Alfons Mucha (24 July 1860 – 14 July 1939) was a Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist, known for his distinct style : The Mucha Style that became known as Art Nouveau Style.He produced many paintings, illustrations, advertisements, postcards, and designs.Mucha's works often contain magnificent women in flowing, Neoclassical-looking robes, surrounded by abstract shapes inspired by lines that can be found in nature.
