The Gran Vía, built from 1904 to relieve congestion in the center of Madrid, connects Puerta del Sol to the districts of Argüelles and Salamanca in three sections. Completed between the two world wars, it is renowned for its cohesive ensemble of Art Deco and neoclassical buildings: the emblematic Telefónica building, the Carrión (or Capitol) cinema and the refined dome of the Metrópolis building, which today give it its architectural charm.

The Painted Ladies of San Francisco. San Francisco's 'Painted Ladies' are an iconic row of colorful Victorian houses located at 710–720 Steiner Street, across from Alamo Square Park. Also known as 'Postcard Row' or 'Seven Sisters,' these Queen Anne-style homes were built between 1892 and 1896 by developer Matthew Kavanaugh, who himself resided in the neighboring house at 722 Steiner Street. In the background of the drawing we can see the buildings of San Francisco.

Rome's Colosseum (Italy). The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is a landmark monument in Rome. Construction began between 70 and 72 AD under Emperor Vespasian and was completed in 80 AD under his son Titus. Designed to accommodate between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators, it was intended for gladiatorial combat, wild animal hunts and public spectacles. Its elliptical architecture, 189 metres long, 156 metres wide and over 48 metres high, bears witness to the ingenuity of Roman engineers. Today, despite the damage caused by time and earthquakes, the Colosseum remains a powerful symbol of ancient Rome, attracting millions of visitors every year.

The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (California, USA) - landscape format. The Golden Gate Bridge, located in San Francisco, is an iconic suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate Strait, linking the city of San Francisco to Marin County. Construction began on January 5, 1933, and was completed on May 27, 1937. At its inauguration, it was the world's longest suspension bridge, with a main span of 1,280 meters.

London Bridge, London (United Kingdom). Since it was first built in wood by the Romans around AD 50, the bridge has undergone several major reconstructions. The present bridge, inaugurated in 1973, is a pre-stressed concrete structure designed by architect Harold King. It is 269 meters long and 32 meters wide, with a clearance height of 8.9 meters above the Thames. This modern bridge continues to play an essential role in London's road and pedestrian traffic.
