Anubis by vera petruk (Egypt & Hieroglyph Coloring Page)
Anubis is typically depicted as a man with the head of a jackal or a dog. In ancient Egyptian religion, Anubis was responsible for the mummification and protection of the dead, as well as guiding souls to the afterlife. He was also associated with the weighing of the heart ceremony, in which the hearts of the deceased were weighed against the feather of Ma'at, the goddess of truth and justice, to determine whether they were worthy of entering the afterlife. Anubis was also considered the patron of lost souls and the protector of graves.
