Coloring page created from Victor Prouvé's painting 'Stay of peace and joy' (1899). Born in Nancy in 1858, the son of a fine seamstress and an embroidery designer, Victor Prouvé studied drawing at the municipal school in his hometown. A few years later, he joined the School of Fine Arts in Paris as a scholarship holder, where he studied under the academic painter Alexandre Cabanel. He exhibited at the Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts from 1882 where he won several prizes while receiving his first orders.
