Alexander Graham Bell and the Invention of the Telephone - 1876 (Historical events Coloring Page)
Alexander Graham Bell (1847–1922), a Scottish-American inventor and scientist, made history on March 10, 1876, by conducting the world's first telephone call, famously saying to his assistant Thomas Watson: 'Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you'.
Passionate about transmitting the human voice, Bell filed the patent for the telephone on February 14, 1876, just hours ahead of his rival Elisha Gray.
This invention revolutionized global communications and laid the foundation for our modern connected world. In 1877, he founded the Bell Telephone Company, which would grow into one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world.
