Henri Matisse - Polynesia, the Sky (1946) (Masterpiece Coloring Page)
Polynesia, the Sky is a gouache cut-out by Henri Matisse created in 1946, housed at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Inspired by his trip to Tahiti in 1930, the work evokes the memory of a sky filled with white birds floating over a checkerboard of deep and light blues.
Designed as a tapestry cartoon for the Mobilier national, it forms a diptych with Polynesia, the Sea.
