Henri Matisse - La Danseuse créole (1950) (Masterpiece Coloring Page)
The Creole Dancer is a cut-out gouache by Henri Matisse, created in June 1950, and housed at the Musée Matisse in Nice. Inspired by the dancer Josephine Baker, the work celebrates movement and joy through a stylized silhouette surrounded by vibrant plant-like forms.
Matisse employs his cut-paper technique, which he described as 'drawing with scissors,' to create an exuberant visual rhythm.
