Opéra Garnier (Palais Garnier) (Paris Coloring Page)
The Opéra Garnier, also known as the Palais Garnier, is a masterpiece of 19th-century architecture inaugurated in 1875. Designed by architect Charles Garnier under Napoleon III, it embodies the eclectic style of Baroque, Classicism and Renaissance influences.
Famous for its monumental grand staircase, richly decorated foyer and the auditorium ceiling painted by Marc Chagall in 1964, it was for decades the heart of the Paris Opera and today remains one of the capital's most emblematic cultural monuments.
This original coloring page is based on a photo from the early 20th century.
