'Two Sisters (on the terrace)' is a famous painting by Pierre-Auguste Renoir dating back to 1881. Created on the terrace of the Maison Fournaise in Chatou, on the banks of the Seine, it depicts two young women, one dressed in blue and wearing a red hat, the other with a floral hat, sitting outdoors with a basket of wool.

Jeanne Darlaud, a future actress, posed as the model for the elder sister. The painting was sold to Paul Durand-Ruel in 1881 for 1,500 francs, first exhibited in 1882, and then acquired by the Art Institute of Chicago in 1933, where it remains on display.
