The Red House is a country house designed in 1859 by the architect Philip Webb for the designer and art theorist William Morris. It is situated in Bexleyheath, Kent, England.
The Red House was designed to be a functional and comfortable family home, but it also reflects the aesthetic ideals of Morris and his friends about the importance of craftsmanship and beauty in the everyday environment. The house is also famous for its interior, which was designed by Morris himself and includes paintings, wallpaper and printed fabrics produced by his own company.
