Takashi Murakami - The flower parent and the child
Coloring created from Takashi Murakami's 'The flower parent and the child'.
In 2024, a monumental sculpture by Takashi Murakami, entitled The Flower Parent and the Child, was installed at the Jardin d'acclimatation in Paris. The 13-metre-high work, depicting a smiling, flowery figure accompanied by a child, had been created in 2020 in collaboration with Louis Vuitton to promote the brand.
After being exhibited in Kyoto, it now marks the reissue of the 2003 Monogram Multicolor capsule collection, the fruit of one of the first collaborations between an artist and a luxury house, imagined by Murakami and Marc Jacobs. This collection, famous for its bright colors, modernized Vuitton's image and enjoyed worldwide success.
